Musician Composer Teacher

Danny Healy is a professional jazz saxophone, clarinet and flute player from Australia. Drawing influences from jazz greats of the 40s, 50s and 60s, his playing is injected with hints and nuances of Sonny Rollins, Eric Dolphy and Gerry Mulligan, just to name a few. Solo Bass Clarinet - House Concert

 —  —

Private Residence

A truly unique experience. I'm hosting this concert at my home in Hobart.

In an effort to combine melodies and basslines on an instrument that has yet to be utilised to its full potential in the jazz genre, I'm attempting to create something new.

Focusing on standards as a vehicle for exploration and an influence from many styles to aid the process.

I would love to see some classical fans and or musos come and experience this House Concert. Performing two half hour sets to small numbers (10ish) in an intimate environment. There will be light drinks and refreshment included as part of the admission fee. (There is no set entry price. I will be operating under a Pay as You Feel Scheme.)

If you would like to attend, contact me via the website. I will reply to confirm and send you the address details if you are one of the 10. (chances are you will be)

Repeat audience members are always welcome.
