Musician Composer Teacher
Danny Healy is a professional jazz saxophone, clarinet and flute player from Australia. Drawing influences from jazz greats of the 20s to 60s, his playing is injected with hints and nuances of Sonny Rollins, Benny Goodman, Eric Dolphy and Gerry Mulligan, just to name a few. In recent years, Danny has taken an interest in Gypsy and Trad Jazz due to the melodic, interactive nature and purity of the music. Danny Healy 経歴 Danny Healy（ダニー・ヒーリー） オーストラリア生まれ。実力派マルチ・ホーン・・レイヤーー、 作曲家。メルボルン大学－ヴィクトリア・カイッジ・オブ・ア ーツ（The Victorian College of Art）出身、デクスター・ゴードン からストラヴィンスキーまで、幅広い音楽的バックグラウンドを持ち、一か所に定住し ないノマド系アーティストとして、過去 20 年間、中国、ベトナム、アルメニア、ジョー ジア、ロシア、カンボジア、英国といった異国で音楽活動をする。故国オーストラリア での主な活動としては、2022 年、タスマニア島のユニークな美術館 MONA・（Museum of Old & New Art）に専属作曲家－演奏家として招聘され、膨大な曲を作曲、演奏するレロ ジェクト”BY HAND”を遂行、第 2 期レロジェクトを 2023 年 11 月～2024 年 2 月に完遂。 今後しばらくは日本に滞在予定。
